Worship at Grace Pres

Rob YanceyRob Yancey, pictured here with his wife, Liz, and his two sons, Will and Ben, will preach on June 28 at a worship service designed to demonstrate Grace’s “vision for worship.” Rob’s sermon is entitled: “Nourishing the Next Generation” and will challenge listeners to do just that.

Rob hails originally from western North Carolina. He studied political science and philosophy at the University of N. Carolina in Greensboro. Rob and Liz then spent eight years in Johannesburg, South Africa serving with the college ministry of Campus Outreach. They returned to the U.S. for Rob to attend seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Bethesda, Maryland.

Rob now serves as Pastor of Family Ministries at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Maryland. In this role he oversees Fourth’s ministries to young marrieds, children, and youth.

Interestingly, a group of Fourth’s “rising eighth graders” will be in York from July 5-10 for leadership training. Twenty kids from Fourth will be housed at Logos Academy on King St. while working with the City of York’s “Summer Camps Program” for part of each day. They will spend the other part of each day, plus their evenings, in leadership training provided by Fourth’s excellent staff.
